Racing season is in full swing. There’s no better way to spend a summer day than at the track, watching your favorite drivers zip around the speedway. However, if you keep your eyes peeled during caution periods and in between races, you’ll see some busy trucks in addition to those flashy racecars.

As a matter of fact, you’ll likely spot a hard working Freightliner truck. You may know that Freightliner trucks haul the race cars and equipment for many of your favorite race teams, but they’re also used in other ways at each event, from the Indy 500 to the Coca-Cola 600. Outsiders may relate racing with pure speed, but real fans know that it’s really about endurance, reliability, strategy and teamwork — and that’s where Freightliner comes in.

Freightliner trucks pitch in at racing events by clearing track of debris, safely removing wrecked cars from the track and moving TV production and hospitality equipment from track to track. From on-highway to vocational, Freightliner trucks play a big part in motorsports.

The next time you’re at a race, look out for a Freightliner truck putting in the tough work behind the scenes. If you snap a photo, make sure to share it with us on Twitter (@freightliner) or Instagram (@freightlinertrucks).
