In case you missed it, the 2017 WasteExpo took place May 9–11 in New Orleans. WasteExpo is designed for waste and recycling leaders, and is where the best minds in the waste, recycling, and organics industry turn for inspiration, innovation, and guidance. So naturally, Freightliner Trucks was there.

Elliott Equipment Company recently developed the D105, its first digger derrick for the electric utility, construction, and maintenance industries. It has a 107-foot sheave height, 20,000 foot-pound high-torque digger system, a digging radius of up to 41 feet, and digging depth of up to 16 feet — and it’s powered by a Freightliner M2 106.

Miller Industries is a second-generation towing and recovery equipment manufacturer founded in 1990. The carriers they build — up to 30 feet in length with deck capabilities of up to 40 thousand pounds — are such high quality that both the late Dale Earnhardt Sr. and Dale Earnhardt Jr. have trusted them with their NASCAR fleets.

Last month we celebrated Des Moines, Iowa, as the tenth city to join the ranks of Freightliner Trucks Hardest Working Cities.
